Garlic Mersley Wight Seed – 2 or 4 Bulbs (Softneck)

Elevate your gardening and culinary experience with Mersley Wight Seed, a premium Allium sativum (Softneck) variety. Originating from the mountainous regions of Auvergne and the volcanic Drôme in northern Provence, this garlic is perfectly suited for the UK climate.

Growing Instructions:

Mersley Wight Garlic thrives in free-draining soil with full sun exposure. Plant the cloves 20-40mm deep, 12 to 15cm apart, in rows 30 to 45cm apart, with the root down and pointed end up. For optimal growth, work 3 handfuls of Sulphate of Potash per metre length of row into the ground in the month after the garlic emerges. Keep the plants well-watered from April through to approximately July 20th. Harvest when the plants bend over and go “weak at the knees,” typically within three weeks. Carefully dig under the plants with a fork or spade, lift the garlic, and hang or place in trays in a warm, dry place with good air circulation.
