Garlic Rose Wight thrives in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. Plant the cloves 20-40mm deep, 12 to 15cm apart, in rows 30 to 45cm apart, with the root down and pointed end up. Ensure the soil is kept moist but not waterlogged. As the bulbs swell, they will lift themselves out of the ground, exposing their deep pinkish cloves. Harvest in early summer when the bulbs are fully mature and the leaves start to yellow. Carefully dig under the plants with a fork or spade, lift the garlic, and hang or place in trays in a warm, dry place with good air circulation.
